Description

The XCalibur1411 is a high-performance AdvancedTCA (ATCA) single-board multiprocessing computer for applications requiring the maximum computing power available per blade. Nine P.A. Semi PWRficient PA6T-1682 dual-core processors, each with two PA6T Power Architecture cores operating at up to 2.0 GHz, provide ample computing bandwidth. Each dual-core processor is complemented with two channels of up to 2 GB each of DDR2 ECC SDRAM, providing up to 36 GB of total onboard SDRAM.

Each processing node is interconnected through a x2 PCI Express link to the utility processor and two 1-Gbps SGMII interfaces to a Gigabit Ethernet switch. The Gigabit Ethernet switch also provides two 10-Gbps XAUI ATCA fabric interface ports.

The utility processor supports 2 MB of LPC NOR flash, 2 MB of SPI NOR flash, as well as 4 GB of NAND flash for non-volatile storage. Each node processor supports up to 2 MB of LPC NOR flash and 2 MB of SPI NOR flash.

The XCalibur1411 is a powerful, feature-rich solution for the next generation of computationally intensive embedded applications. Operating system support for VxWorks, QNX, and Linux 2.6 are available.
