Description

XCalibur2000 is a 6U CompactPCI single board computer with a PICMG 2.16 Gigabit Ethernet backplane interface. A Motorola 7457 1.4GHz processor coupled with a Xilinx Virtex-II Pro FPGA provides a high performance architecture for data manipulation. XCalibur is ideal for the high bandwidth processing requirements of today’s DSP, packet processing, and general computing applications.

XCalibur2000 provides a highly configurable platform. An SO-DIMM DDR SDRAM socket provides up to 1GB of local memory. An optional CompactFlash interface accepts up to 1GB of non-volatile memory. Two isolated 133MHz PCI-X PrPMC slots are available for high bandwidth IO.

A Virtex-II Pro FPGA enables firmware algorithms to accelerate signal and packet processing. The Virtex-II provides up to 4 embedded PowerPC cores. A DMA interface to processor memory allows the FPGA to operate without CPU supervision.
