EMI/EMC Testing
The X-ES qualification lab has equipment for EMI emissions and susceptibility testing. X-ES has experience with MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and FCC EMI testing.
EMI emissions and susceptibility testing and pre-screening is performed using our on-site EMI chamber and spectrum analyzer.
- Rohde & Schwarz ESPI3 Test Receiver
- EMI chamber and test equipment

X-ES On-Site EMI/EMC Pre-Qualification Tests
X-ES is capable of performing EMI testing on-site. During pre-screening, issues can be identified, researched, and resolved prior to scheduling and paying for test-house EMI qualification testing. The benefits are that issues found in the pre-screening can be resolved quicker and at a lower cost resulting in a shorter, smoother EMI qualification testing process. The following are some of the EMI pre-screening tests X-ES has experience performing on-site in our EMI test lab:
- MIL-STD-461 conducted emissions (30 Hz to 10 KHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted emissions (10 KHz to 10 MHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted susceptibility (30 Hz impulse excitation)
- MIL-STD-461 radiated emissions (10 kHz to 3 GHz) (conduction via power lines and radiated with the use of field probes)
EMI/EMC Qualification Tests
X-ES engineers have qualified a number of systems. The following are some of the tests that X-ES engineers have performed during the qualification of systems at independent EMI testing facilities:
- MIL-STD-461 conducted emissions (30 Hz to 10 KHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted emissions (10 KHz to 10 MHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted susceptibility (30 Hz to 150 kHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted susceptibility (10 kHz to 200 MHz)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted susceptibility (30 Hz impulse excitation)
- MIL-STD-461 conducted susceptibility (sinusoidal transients 10 kHz to 100 MHz)
- MIL-STD-461 radiated emissions (10 kHz to 18 GHz)
- MIL-STD-461 radiated susceptibility (10 kHz to 18 GHz)
