Windows
Intel® Core™2 Duo processor boards have (32-bit) Windows XP support.
Intel® Core™ i7 processor boards have (64-bit) Windows 7 support.
Windows support for a board consists of providing tested combinations of X-ES supplied binary drivers and assistance with hardware-related problems, installation and configuration, etc. The chipset, Ethernet, and video drivers (whether integrated as with the Intel Core i7 processor or discrete as with Core™ Duo) are typically provided for every Windows support package.
Chip vendors typically provide drivers for their components for a wide variety of Windows versions, and it is expected that these will work fine. Should problems arise, it's up to the user to resolve problems directly with the driver vendor.
We unofficially provide some support for Windows Embedded. In particular, Intel is no longer distributing a Windows Embedded driver for the 82574 Ethernet MAC/PHY except by request. We have requested one and can provide it to customers wanting to use Windows Embedded.
