Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking an experienced leader for our Design Verification Test Engineering Team. This role will be asked to utilize managerial skills as well as electronic technical expertise. The position will also be responsible for evaluating appropriate staffing levels, staff management and performance, and project and process risk management, in addition to identifying and driving continuous process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of test engineers in the verification of product design requirements for embedded computer products. This includes but is not limited to: guiding individual professional development, evaluating team capacity to meet company needs, managing individual workloads, and testing project timelines
  • Communicate risk to overall product timelines based on testing scope and viability
  • Review test plans and test results for accuracy and compliance to applicable standards, customer requirements, and internal policy
  • Work closely with other test disciplines (e.g., manufacturing unit test, environmental qualification) to recommend and implement testing process improvements
  • Work with engineering disciplines to address product concerns identified during testing
  • Lead and participate in multi-discipline corporate and engineering initiatives to improve product quality, process efficiency, and collaboration
  • Ensure engineering timeline estimates and technical proposals are in line with sales goals
  • Research, recommend, and implement testing process improvements based on new or existing tools and best practices
  • Maintain metrics to ensure quality and adherence to established processes
  • Represent X-ES to customers and critical suppliers as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • Eight or more years of leadership in a professional setting
  • Engineering experience in an embedded development environment
  • Experience in all areas of the engineering development life cycle: requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
