Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a detail-oriented Electronic Technician who will be responsible for supporting the assembly and testing of X-ES rugged embedded hardware. Successful candidates will be able to test electronic hardware as well as assemble electronic and mechanical components in accordance with released specifications and drawings. This is a first-shift position with flexible scheduling, paid training, and good benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing to ensure products meet internal and external requirements
• Assemble complex electronics and systems using an array of hand tools, custom fixtures, and specialized tooling
• Maintain detailed and accurate records
• Adhere to all company operating procedures and training requirements
• Work with quality and engineering teams to improve product and process quality

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate)
• Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Good hand dexterity and coordination, as products and components are typically very small
• Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

• A degree or certificate in Electronics (or similar field) or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and good dexterity and coordination
• Prior experience with testing and programming electronic assemblies is a plus
• IPC or J-STD accreditation is a plus
