Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking an organized and driven Hardware Debug Engineer to supervise and direct others in performing the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of system components and assemblies. This person will assume responsibility for performing Hardware Debug Engineer duties, as well as prioritizing, planning, and coordinating work for the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic assemblies down to the component level for moderate-to-complex issues using test procedures, electrical schematics, technical notes, diagnostics, and component datasheets
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Interact with Engineering, Quality and other departments as needed to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Hands-on involvement with Hardware Debug Personnel in all phases of the debug process
  • Supervision of the team to prioritize, plan, and coordinate work for the department
  • Timesheet and regular employee performance reviews

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field is required
  • Diversified background with strong technical and managerial skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Functional Test (FT) and debug
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 requirements
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
