Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a Materials Inspection Supervisor to guide and supervise the Materials Inspection team in performing inspection of bare printed circuit boards, metalwork, refinished components, and other raw materials. This person will perform inspection as well as prioritizing, planning, and coordinating work for the department. This is a first-shift position with flexible scheduling, paid training, and good benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and review materials to determine whether they meet X-ES standards
  • Provide general leadership and oversight of the Materials Inspection team
  • Complete supervisory tasks: timesheet review, performance reviews, development plans, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Administer and/or provide training on department and company-wide processes, policies, and procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks related to materials inspection and general manufacturing operations
  • Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship performed by self or others
  • Provide expertise or assistance to others when needed
  • Support the nonconforming and material review board processes

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate)
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience, which may include working in manufacturing, quality control/inspection, production, and/or designing electronic assemblies
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, with good dexterity and coordination
  • Ability to makes independent decisions that are guided by policies, procedures, and business structure
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings
  • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a quality control/inspection role strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanical components is preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-600 is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
