About the Position

Extreme Engineering Solutions seeks career-oriented college students for immediate openings related to the assembly, inspection, and testing of high-end electronic equipment. X-ES offers paid training and flexible scheduling to accommodate student schedules. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours Monday–Friday while school is in session, with the possibility of full-time hours during academic and summer breaks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials and products to determine whether they meet X-ES standards
  • Use basic tools to attach or affix manufactured components to an electronic assembly
  • Adhere to company practices regarding safety and control of electrostatic discharge (ESD)
  • Perform surface-mount soldering on printed circuit boards to IPC specifications
  • Conduct testing to ensure product will function properly and meets customer requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate) is required
  • Completed or actively pursuing a certificate or degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • General computer proficiency and a high level of attention to detail
  • Good hand dexterity and coordination due to handling of small products and components
  • Familiarity with any of the following: soldering techniques, hot air equipment use, microscopes, electronic multimeter, and calipers
  • Previous experience with product testing and programming

Compensation

Starting pay for students is $16/hour.
