Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for an Engineering Quality Assurance team member to help deliver on our promise to provide high-quality products and services. By supporting engineering through problem-solving, process improvements, and helping users effectively utilize requirements management tools, our Engineering Quality Assurance team ensures consistency of engineering procedures and outputs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify engineering process problems and work with stakeholders and/or cross-functional teams to plan and implement solutions
- Provide process improvement and correction recommendations to engineering and/or executive management
- Facilitate engineering-focused corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs)
- Lead Engineering Quality Assurance continuous-improvement projects
- Aid in the definition and documentation of procedures and work instructions related to engineering process
- Assess project review compliance and process conformance
- Ensure appropriate SMEs and stakeholders are included and provide input in project reviews
- Provide maintenance and support for the requirements management tool, including software version updates and coordinating tool use between stakeholders and/or functional areas
- Interface with the requirements management tool’s outside vendor to communicate defective behavior and other usage concerns that impact tool usability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Strong leadership skills with a high level of organization, attention to detail, and consistency
- Self-motivated and computer-proficient, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI
Desired Qualifications
- Prior technical writing and editing experience
- Prior simple scripting experience (ex. Velocity, Java, HTML, Python)
- Experience with Jama Connect requirements management and traceability software
