Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide support to the Manufacturing Engineering team through application of standards, training, investigation, and continuous improvement. This is a first-shift position with flexible scheduling, paid training, and good benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to manufacturing engineers under limited supervision, apply intermediate skills, may implement new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.; rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering process changes or production floor layout to support manufacturing operations
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and continuous improvement in support of mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, and production equipment
  • Execute inspections, experiments, or qualifications; and gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including build and defect data
  • Maintain and update process or project documentation
  • Lead or assist in performing periodic audits, such as test equipment availability, 5S housekeeping, FOD, or safety
  • Perform first article inspections and support customer source inspection audits
  • May assist in training new manufacturing employees
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related technical field (a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required degree)
  • Basic understanding of fundamental manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of electronic device handling and assembly — component programming and function
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently to deliver on small and medium tasks
  • Treats others with respect and willingly accepts guidance
  • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of electronic device handling and assembly — component programming and function
  • Proven ability to exercise judgment and utilize appropriate resources when making decisions and demonstrate basic problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a role of continuous improvement or technical support
