Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a leader for our Production team. This role will be asked to utilize managerial skills as well as electronic technical expertise. The position will also be responsible for evaluating appropriate staffing levels, staff management and performance, and project and process risk management, in addition to identifying and driving continuous process improvement. This is a first-shift position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management of the Production team, which may include training, mentoring, administering, and directing employees
  • General oversight of production processes and the production schedule
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and product quality
  • Timesheet, employee performance reviews, and compensation reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate)
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in operations, production, or manufacturing
  • Ability to make independent decisions that are guided by policies, procedures, and business structure
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of organization with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, industrial engineering, industrial technology, or operations management
  • Three years in a leadership role preferred
  • Diversified background with strong technical and managerial skills
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a production team in a built-to-order manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronic assemblies (PCBA) industry
  • Previous experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of master scheduling practices and capacity analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 requirements
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, TQM, and/or Lean tools including Six Sigma, value stream mapping, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto, DMAIC, Kaizen events, etc.
