Small Form Factor Systems
The term Small Form Factor (SFF) is used without a standard definition. Some vendors have proposed new standards or use proprietary form factors to support their idea of a SFF system. We have taken the approach of creating the smallest enclosure possible around industry-standard COTS components. To achieve this, we chose COM Express to provide the processing, PMC/XMCs to add in application-specific I/O, and 1.8” Slim SATA SSDs to provide storage.
Flight Qualified Systems
In our Qualification Facitlity, X-ES performs rigorous environmental and EMI qualification testing on fully integrated ATR systems. These systems then undergo in-flight qualification testing by X-ES’s customers.
