Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a highly organized, data-focused student to support our sales, operations, and engineering departments. Our Data Analysts contribute to building dimensional data models within our enterprise data warehouse and build interactive dashboards to support business stakeholders use of data. Ideal candidates will be curious, self-driven problem solvers with strong attention to detail.
This position is full-time and in-person at our Verona, WI facility for a Spring/Summer 2027 Co-Op (January–August 2027) or a Summer/Fall 2027 Co-Op (May–December 2027). This typically requires students to take a semester off of school to accommodate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and challenges
- Analyzing data to measure business performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Design and build Dimensional Data Models to be run on dbt-core
- Build dashboards in Apache Superset to help business stakeholders answer questions
Required Qualifications
- Currently a student pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related field
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong research and data analysis skills, with a meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (with advanced Excel skills)
- High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to exercise a high degree of judgment and creativity to accomplish goals
- Python programming skills and familiarity with version control systems
- Familiarity with dimensional data modeling
- Experience building dashboards with a BI Tool
