The XTend218 is a debug module intended for low-level development with select X-ES Intel® processor-based products. It provides JTAG headers for AMD (formerly Xilinx), Altera, Actel, and Asset programming tools, as well as a Dediprog SF100 header and an EM100Pro emulator header for programming and emulating the Intel® boot flash. LPC, Aardvark, and Atmel AVR headers supply additional debugging capabilities.
The XTend218 has two micro-DB-9 connectors with onboard transceivers for two RS-232 serial ports from the host card, along with a standard USB connector for one USB 2.0 port. This module also provides access to extra GPIO, with LEDs and toggle switches, to assist with development and testing.
